2025 Goals

As the year ends, we have to go back on track and start your year productively. I did not manage to start the year productively by working or studying immediately, but I don’t feel bad about it.

The first two days were still a vacation and a holiday, I even had my last post a week ago which can affect my content creation schedule. Anyway, no regrets, I was not ready.

To start the year, I want to write and share my goals for the whole year – I have my plans on how to achieve them, but I don’t think sharing them is a good idea, but let’s just go with the flow and act accordingly.

Health

I want to focus on my health.

I weighed myself and was surprised; I was not happy. We had a lot of foods this holiday with no physical activity and so, I stored fats on my body.

This year, I want to try walking and running; I am not sure about being consistent but I will do my best to accomplish this every single day.

I am not into sports, so I don’t play any of them – running would be enough, perhaps?

Of course, I won’t force myself too hard in the first few weeks. I will start small and gradually increase my daily goal.

I am eyeing to go to the gym, but my schedule won’t let me do it plus, the membership fee.

I don’t know how much it is yet but I feel that I should prioritize other expenses that I much needed.

School

It will be my top priority for now.

This will be our last semester, and I hope I can graduate on time; this is my main goal for this year.

We will be having a pre-board subject for the last semester and I am preparing for it. I know that it will be a hard semester again because we could have a quiz and exam weekly in this subject. No more lectures or anything, just a pure exam.

5,000 Medium Followers

I am now active on Medium.

It is a great platform, but you still have to be careful and always follow their guidelines.

So far, my stay has been great. I expect to receive my first payment next week. I hope the payment details will be no problem.

The growth is also fast, I am now sitting in 1.2k followers, and my main goal is to reach 5,000 followers before this year ends.

I am not sure if some of them are bots or spammers, but I am looking forward to getting 5,000 genuine followers and readers.

500 monthly visitors to my website

This is huge!

I feel that this is one of the hardest goals this year aside from graduating.

I am still playing with my website and trying to grow it together with my Medium and Hive account.

As of now, I have less than 20 monthly visitors according to Ubersuggest. I am not sure if this goal is possible but I will do my best.

I also applied to Google Adsense and currently, I am earning cents from it. Hoping to reach the minimum threshold by the end of the year and see if this works.

I also have other plans on my website for now after displaying ads – this could potentially be a business, with my name on it as a personal brand.

Is it good?

I am not sure, to be honest. But I am just trying.

Start working full-time

What is next after the graduation?

Work!

I can’t take the board exam yet, I want to but I am not financially stable, and my parents can’t handle the expenses as well. So, I have no choice.

Hence, my initial plan is to work.

I am even overthinking about this. I know that civil engineering is oversaturated and has a low potential for building wealth.

Salary might be less than PHP 20,000/month (sad truth) minus the government contribution.

It sucks.

But I am looking on the other side, who knows? I might pursue my writing career!

It will be my alternative…nope, it is my initial plan.

Save money

I was always frugal, but last year, I felt that I overspent for things that I shouldn’t be buying.

I want to go back to my old self and start saving money. This year, my goal is to save at least PHP 50,000. I know, it isn’t that much for some but it is a good start for students like me.

Hopefully, I can achieve it immediately this year. I want to be financially stable as soon as possible.

Poverty sucks.

4,000 HP

I won’t be focusing on powering up. I have other goals for this year which is trading some HIVE and HE tokens. However, I feel that I can achieve this goal before the year ends.

I can achieve more if I am more active. I am hoping to accumulate 4k-4.5k HP before the year ends.

This is possible by writing more and sticking to the 50/50 reward distribution.

50% will go straight to my HP and the other 50% [of HBD] is for my trading and other expenses.

I am thinking of trading or just accumulating some HE tokens that I could sell when the price goes up.

However. I feel that I am late for now, so I should be careful and wait for the next bear market.

The goal is to accumulate more and then sell it in the coming years. I do Hive as a hobby, so I’m good!

Summary

Overall, my top priorities for this year are school, life, and money.

I feel that I never accomplished anything good last year compared to previous years (or maybe I am not just organized and haven’t tracked my progress?).

Hence, I will do my best to be organized and document everything so I can write a good year-end recap by 2026!
